Base Supply Centers (BSCs)

The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. operates six AbilityOne Base Supply Centers (BSCs) which supply superior blind made products and services to government customers through a commercial retail-type setting that employs people who are blind. Government customers appreciate convenient access to thousands of high-quality, competitively priced SKILCRAFT® and other name brand products.
The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc.’s BSC program partners with the leadership at their location to satisfy the specific needs of base and installation personnel.

Affiliation
The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc. is affiliated with National Industries for the Blind (NIB). NIB serves as a liaison between the federal government and approximately 85 nonprofit agencies employing individuals who are blind. There are approximately 120 BSCs managed by NIB-affiliated agencies that have been successfully operating over the last decade. Click here to learn more about the AbilityOne Program’s BSC Initiative.
BSCs provide jobs for blind people throughout the country at Express Supply stores and at our Seattle and Spokane facilities, where our products are manufactured.
