This year marks our 32nd year of providing hope, inspiration, and connection at our Annual Deaf-Blind Retreat. This week-long gathering is an important part of The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc.’s mission to serve the needs of our region’s Deaf-Blind community. The retreat brings Deaf-Blind people from Washington State and beyond together in a recreational setting to network, socialize, build supportive relationships, learn from each other, and establish relationships that provide peer support throughout the year.
The retreat is a vital part of the Lighthouse’s mission to serve the needs of our region’s Deaf- Blind community. While everyday life limits Deaf-Blind people’s access to education, the retreat offers opportunities to learn new skills, experience the latest technology, and gain newfound independence. This year’s retreat will be held from Sunday, August 29th to Saturday, September 4th.
We rely on members of the community to help fund critical costs that make our Deaf-Blind Retreat accessible to all participants. Your donation will help cover scholarship funds and transportation costs to ensure that all of our Deaf-Blind participants can be part of the retreat this year.
To make your gift in support of this year’s Deaf-Blind retreat, please DonateNow.
Whatever its size, your gift will make a dramatic change for the better in the life of a Deaf-Blind individual. Your gift today will make a change that benefits others for the rest of their lives.
