The Power of Your Gift

: Orientation and Mobility Specialist Alan Kirk (left) works with INL employee Tissy Stabe (right) in Spokane.Charitable gifts create opportunities for The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc.’s employees.  In this report, you have seen examples of those opportunities, from the accomplishments of our outstanding Employees of the Year to the successful expansion of businesses and capabilities.

Your gifts to the Lighthouse support our mission of creating and enhancing opportunities for independence and self-sufficiency of people who are blind, Deaf-Blind, and blind with other disabilities.  In short, your generosity has improved the lives of hundreds of working age adults who might not otherwise have had the chance to empower themselves.

Examples of the successes you have helped make possible include:  our accessibility initiatives and other Employee and Community Services through our Redefining Vision events; employment opportunities in Spokane at Inland Northwest Lighthouse; giving Global Positioning System technology and the training to use it to our employees; providing necessary software, job training, and other resources for safe travel; and unique outreach through Deaf-Blind Community Classes and annual Deaf-Blind Retreat.

Gifts can be made at our website by clicking “Donate Now” or by calling the Development Department at 1-800-914-7307.

All gifts made through Seattle Lighthouse for the Blind Foundation have the power to create jobs, training opportunities, and the supports necessary for the Lighthouse to work toward its mission.  Thank you for making so much possible.
