“Dance Exercise Class at Seattle Lighthouse”, by Lighthouse Contact Center Representative Dana Marmion

There have been four sessions of the dance exercise class held at Seattle Lighthouse so far, and I am really enjoying the exercise each week.  Our instructor Chris is wonderful!  He conducted the training for our National White Cane Day Flash Mob, and listened to people’s comments that we would like faster classes to get more exercise. So our first class was very fast paced! I really enjoy the dance exercise.  As a visually impaired person, it is great to have a support person who will tell me if I am about to bump into another dancer or if I am on the wrong dance step.

During the class I am also hearing music that is new to me.  Chris has a wide selection of music, and sometimes I know the songs and often I do not.  It is all a lot of fun!
